Transforming Youth Outdoors is now live!
TYO is a new venture to scale impact in outdoor youth development and transform the lives of youth while creating the next generation of environmental stewards by providing best practices, tools and support to individuals and organizations working with youth in the outdoors. Inspired by the ability to fuel innovation in the field and increase impact through the power of sharing and disseminating knowledge, the founding TYO partners (Outdoor Outreach, The Sierra Club, The Outdoor Foundation and The Children and Nature Network) developed TYO to help grow and support the movement to connect youth to the natural world.
TYO was designed to leverage proven models and best practices in the field in order to:
- Help other organizations improve their consistency and impacts;
- Shorten the learning curve for developing and implementing quality outdoor programs;
- Create a network of organizations and individuals working to create a movement to scale safe effective and impactful outdoor youth development programs.
